Competitor Application For several years, we had an overwhelming desire by teams to participate in Summer Fest.  We had to turn several teams away.  We increased the number of teams that we would accept to 72.  That is our absolute limit.  We cannot physically handle anymore.  In light of that, we have made a mailing to all of last year's 72 competitors advising them that they have until April 1 to reserve a spot at this year's Summer Fest.  After that, it will be first come first served.

Whole Hog CompetitionSummer Fest and Meadow Creek Welding want to continue the whole hog contest and we believe that many of you want to also.  In order to have a whole hog contest this year, the following needs to happen.  We need a minimum of 24 teams or individuals doing whole hog for Meadow Creek Welding and Martin's Custom Butchering to sponsor the event.  We are opening up the contest to include individuals who only want to do whole hog and not the other KCBS meats.

Motorcycle ride and showNew Holland Summer Fest, the Pennsylvania Barbecue Cook-off Championship invites you to participate in the fun by taking a ride through our lovely Lancaster County and challenges you to compete with other bike owners for a trophy in the Motorcycle Show. Summer Fest will be held on August 27th and 28th with the bike ride and show taking place on Saturday August 28th at the New Holland Community Memorial Park

Kids CompetitionRules are included on the application.  Entry fee is $10.00.  Grand Champion in each age category gets a trophy and $25.00.  Reserve champion in each age group gets a trophy and $15.00.
There will be three age group distinctions:
10 and under,
11 to 15, and
16 to 18.
Categories to compete are: Chicken, Beef, and "Chef's Choice".

Cooking Class ApplicationWant to learn to cook like the pros?  Then join us at Past PA Champions Cooking Class!  Learn some secrets to winning numerous competitions and how we became Pennsylvania BBQ Champions over the years.  Come and learn how to cook, use equipment and stuff yourself silly! That's right, everything that we make, you eat!  The class will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 10:00 AM.  The cost is $100.00 per person.  The class will take place at the New Holland Community Park, New Holland, PA.

Apply to be a JudgeWe are looking for K.C.B.S. certified barbecue judges.

Food VendorsWe have two categories of food vendors and a non-food category.  Site prices vary by category.  One is 'eat-onsite' vendors with foods such as barbecue, ice cream, sandwiches, frozen desserts, anything that the public will eat while there.  The other category is 'take-home food' and 'non-food'.  That would include sauces, mustards, kettle corn/popcorn, Tupperware, etc.  Some foods are questionable as to which category they fall into.  The decision will be made by the Summer Fest committee.  In order for vendors to have a chance of making a profit and due to space limitations, we will limit the number of vendors.  Returning vendors will be given preference.
